I hope that it's ok for me to add a link to my late husbands object tutorial. I feel that it's time to share what he put so much effort and time into. It was heartbreaking seeing it going to waste as it moved down the pages on MTS2. It feels good to finally be able to share this with so many free sites to help people learn how to mesh. I didn't know which section to put this under. Sorry, I am exhausted as I have been up all night writing to free sites in the hope that they will help me to publicise it. Everybody so far has been wonderful, and have so generously and kindly accepted his tutorial. I hope that you would like to have it too. If not, I will understand, and you can delete my thread.
This tutorial was due to be officially moved to the create section on MTS2. Matthew was asked to change the size of the screenshots (as they are full size) and to redo a couple of bits in SimPE (only minor) before publication. But I don't think it ever will be added officially (which is fair enough, although a great shame) as Matthew is no longer with us, and is therefore not able to re-submit it himself. He was rewriting a couple of the parts of it (to do with the SimPE parts), when we tragically lost him in a car accident on 23rd May in Germany whilst he was working away. Those parts of the tutorial will remain unchanged until our eldest daughter feels that she can rewrite them herself. If you can be patient, they will hopefully be rewritten. But, incase she decides that she can't rewrite it, you have my permission to change the tutorial and to rewrite any parts that you feel should be changed. But please give Matthew credit if you do so. If you do want to change anything, can you let me know, then I can keep a track of it, thank you. The reason I am advertising it as much as I can is for fear that someone else may try and copy it and call it their own, and that would be unforgivable and hurtful. It was originally hosted through Insimenator.net and MTS2. You also have my permission to publicise it in any posts on here and in any other forums too. If you do see anyone trying to copy it, then please let me know, thanks. I hope that's ok with the administators of this site. I feel it's important to share it with as many free sites as possible. I feel that's what Matthew would have wanted. If it's not ok, then I understand.
My husband was 'Matt's Workshop'. He used to make things for MTS2, Insimenator and TSR. His most known object was 'The Forever Changing Spa' which a became a featured object less than a week of him signing up to MTS2! I'm really proud of him for that. He was always stunned by that as he would only ever consider himself to be a beginner, and decided to write this tutorial to help other simmers who would like to learn how to mesh as he understood completely how difficult it is to start from scratch. The special thing about this tutorial, is that it uses only free resources! That was very important to him, as it can be very hard to find the money to buy paint programs and meshing programs. So, he sought out the best free resources that he could find. He had no experience of the programs that he wrote about, and he wrote the tutorial as he learnt them. Which is why it took him 2 months to complete. He wrote it with every spare moment that he had, which was not easy because of his job. But he was determined to complete it! A month after he passed, I did make a website so that I could host all of the files from it, but it proved to be too successful! I could no longer afford the £400+ that it cost per month to host the files, so I made the decision to close it down last week. Instead, we will only host the files from our free esnips account. You may need to refresh the page after clicking the link, depending on what browser you are using. I am not able to provide any support for the tutorial as I do not know the programs myself, only Paint Shop Pro X. But I am determined to learn these programs myself, with the help of our daughters, so that I can then offer support for the programs. It is very easy to follow as there are 642 steps. It is split up into 6 stages to help those of you who only have a dial-up connection available. We have received an abundance of emails, tagged with some lovely stories and pictures of what downloaders have made since using his tutorial.
The free programs that he used are:
SimPE
Wings 3D
UVMapper Classic
Gimp
It covers everything from choosing the object to clone from in SimPE, right through to previewing your new object ingame. The most recent expansion he had installed was Seasons. It was completed a while before Bon Voyage came out. It should still work with that expansion. Our daughters will update it sometime after the New Year, though it could be sooner. We have Christmas coming up, and that's going to be a very difficult time for us. I think that editing it in the New Year is the better option. If they feel that they can't, then I will let you know.

Thank you for your help, and goodbye for now, Jessica.:thanks:

Update: Here is the new link to the forum where all of the files have now been moved to. You can download them without any problems now. If there are any, we haven't found them yet! Steve and David have been testing it throughout the day. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this time it will work for you. I'll keep the old link active incase the forum does have problems, but hopefully it shouldn't.
