yes i did have it installed i cant remember when to be honest! a while ago i used to install/uninstall expansion and stuff packs sometimes because i only use the sims 2 to film music video's and if the video that i want to film will require a lot of memory space due to recording in the highest settings i would uninstall something then if i needed that expansion or stuff pack for a video after that like for example if i needed pets in an upcoming video i would install it again if you get me. now i have not done that in years because i have cleared enough space on my pc to film with without uninstalling anything and i do not install anything because I once installed or uninstalled i cant remember which something and it completely wiped all my downloads and my precious movie files!
also when you say "unpatched" do you mean that the creator is still using the bodyshop that came with the base game and not the one that you can download that is more updated?

Not sure but you might have another problem about your computer RAM capacity. You might want to check out this thread: http://www.digitalperversion.net/gar...?topic=21931.0

    Read carefully step by step.

I think when you uninstall an ep it can leave remnants of that ep behind in your game. I am no expert therefore i would advise you you to read as much as you can about the problems of pets and the bodyshop that came with that ep. It was a long time ago and i cant remember exactly how it was fixed. Yes, anyone making clothes in the pets bodyshop without the fix/patch had problems. I was alerted to the problem when i d/l clothes from someone with pets installed and i didn't have it installed, the thumbnails would show as naked torso's. When those clothes were selected for a sim they would appear to be shredded with most of the texture missing, similar to your pic. There was a lot of posts at insiminator about it at the time, maybe if you google it you might find some more info, unless you find the info you need at insim. Sorry i cant be much more help my memory isn't what it used to be!

It's from Pets that also issues started with accessories flashing blue. But before this, maybe OFB (not sure), terrain paint flashing blue if removed as item in Sims2Packs.

Many bugs for this great Sims 2 game... Too many to mention lol!

Glad i could help in a very small way. I wish i could be of more help graeme but google is your friend for this problem, you will hopefully find some solution to the shredded clothes problem. I never even bought the pets ep because of all the problems it caused, so that's why i can't remember how to fix it.
Always check if the clothes you d/l need the pets ep or if the creator has it installed. They usually say if they do, but not always. Good luck, i hope you are able to sort it out.

In regard to accessory meshes flashing blue, it's a known fact. To fix, it'd be very easy and a friend of mine is now almost an expert for fixing acc. meshes with SimPE.

For terrain paints, SimSample and more people posted on this huge bug at modthesims. In fact, when somebody Sims2Packs a lot, they should unclick terrain paint packages at all. Some do so or did and it's because they removed the terrain paint that you got a huge lot area flashing blue. This has nothing to do with EPs, SPs, for terrain paint. It's more like people packaging a Sim without a hair mesh needed. What then you'll see for any random Sim, is a bold or hollow head scalp because somebody removed the hair mesh for a Sim. The result is then: not just a weird looking Sim (hollow scalp) but also sometimes a BodyShop crash.

In such cases it's nothing to do with EA Maxis things. All you need to know is that Maxis objects/build recolours are never added to Sims2Packs as for lots. Why? Get a clue...

It's important still to test some CC isolately with a temp Downloads folder and in game on a testing neighbourhood where you don't play with families.

Thanks. I had a look at this "outfit" in Bodyshop. What I got is a quite messed up template:

There's no recolour of this "outfit", as viewed in SimPE. In fact you can do nothing with it. I'd just go and bin this for good.
