To host a contest or not to host a contest?

I'm not sure if this is the correct place for this, so I'm sorry if it's not in the right section. I wasn't quite sure where to post and thought this would be the best one, I now it's about contests but didn't know where to post it in that part of the forum.
Please feel free to move it if I've done it wrong.

Anyway to get to the question in hand. I want to host a members contest something I've done in the past and really enjoy doing, I'd planned to start it this month but the DOTY contest started so I've held off. The thing is I'm anxious to get it started and basically Iw ant to kow if there woudl be enough interest if I did it now, not everyone is entering DOTY but I don't want people to feel burdened by all the contests although Style-it and DOR as just finishing.

What do you think, do it now or wait?

Difficult to give an opinion ... mine would be to wait .. Doty request lot of work and attention .. so probably that participants DOTY .. would not have time for another contest .. .
On the other hand., As we have seen some of us are very fast .. lol .. and then there are those who do not participate to the DOTY...so....they can do yours.....sorry I think I don't help you alot..lol..but as I said the two ways are similar!!

I'd suggest waiting for a while, maybe until next month when DOTY has finished. Most of the people who regularly participate in contests are tied up with DOTY at the moment. If you were to wait, I would think your contest would get many more applicants.

I totally agree with Tim and Martine.

I can't wait to see what you propose as a new contest, but I think it's best to wait a while for the same reasons discussed previously.
