Never mind! I was whining about not being able to get SimPe to go recursive and look through the subfolders, but I finally found the checkbox, waaaay down at the bottom of the panel, and tiny! So now it's doing it correctly at last.

Thank you so much for this!

Thanks Natalie for all your help. Many many many of my dl's show numbers only rather than what it is. When I ran clean installer it said I had duplicates, but I couldn't tell which was the duplicate and which was the original. Is there some way to do this?

Well, I tried simPE and twice it stopped responding so I had to close the program.

Gail, for Clean Installer click on the MD5 tab and then start scrolling down until you see a file highlighted in pink. You will notice that one or several files that will have the same MD5 number. If you hover your mouse over the name it will tell you the name of the package. If all the packages have funny number names you can go ahead and delete the pink highlighted one.

SimPe is very hungry with RAM so you could try first of all with smaller batches. Delphys Download Organiser shows which category things are so you could make individual folders organised by category and then try to let SimPe scan one folder at a time.

Thanks Nat! I have made this thread a 'sticky' so it will stay at the top of the 'Sims2 Game Help' page and in no danger of getting lost over time.
