I actually don't play the game only decorate and build. From this standpoint, is it worth installing the ep? I've read about shifting paintings up and down the walls but is there anything else?

This new EP bring lot of new things for those who play the game play..for the others who build and decorate...just as you said the game bring just the height of wall decorations can be adjusted.and we can create cellings..that's all!

I actually think that exactly those two things - ceilings and shifting stuff up and down - made a huge difference when it comes to building and decorating. If you have AL installed you can also get mods that will let you shift pretty much everything - curtains, mirrors, pillows and other deco objects - up and down - which I personally think is fantastic.

I have Apartment Life and I think that it is the best EP after Bon voyage. There are some cool add on's for the build sets at Mod The Sims.

Definitely worth installing! I think you can also change the angle of the roofs. (Not too sure if this came with AL or another EP)

The angle-roof change comes with Mansion&Garden Stuff, Tim, but I think the Apartment Life is an amazing EP and still worth to install it! One of the best.

I adore Appartment life, for the playground objects , for the building of appartments (flats) that's so cool !
the 45 degree angle view of the ceiling and for the social interaction of the sim, the witches.
I don't play a lot with but it is really worth it as all sims 2 EPs none of them are rotten to play.
