* Please tell our members a bit about yourself and what you do in life apart from Simming.
My name is Hania, i am 28 years old and live in Sweden. In real life me and my boyfriend are running a company that sells pretty (interior) things, like oilpaintings, furniture, lamps, bathroom interior etc etc. I would love to own basicly everything we sell and redecorate our flat each month, but as this is not possible (for the health of my wallet and my relationship lol) i am a decorating maniac in the sims.
2 years ago i became more involved in the simming community over at livingsims and am a photographer for the magazine since then.
What else? Well, i am fulltime-preggo at the moment (baby boy is coming in may) and need everything i can find, to keep me from just sitting arround and waiting and preparing and worrying and and and...
* Why do you want to enter DOTY 2012?
Why??? I am looking at old DOTY pics at least once a week and am stunned. So much talent, so inspirational. Its just where it all happens now and i finally want to be part of it. I wanted to enter DOTY since 2 years, but each time in april real life became somewhat challenging. so i couldn't. 2012 it is then.
I want to see, to which results this contest can push me and us all, and i think its really fun to compare what everybody comes up with, after given the same task.
* What is your favourite style of decor and why?
Its a mood thing and changes alot for me. At home i like it eclectic, bold and abit industrial...which also shows in my simming. Beside that i love to decorate 'grungy': worn textures, old, disstressed and spooky. I guess its the child in me screaming to go back to fairytale-land.
I Love BPS Because...
its the best place to lurk arround, to fill yourself up with beautyfull pictures, new ideas and inspiration. I promised myself a million times to post, as you all seem like a bunch of fun people, but never quiete did it. Maybe this is where it all changes?!

Hello. My name is Linda. I have been playing sims since Sim City. I am not a creater, but I do love to enter most contests. I use to have a site called SIMply Walls for the original Sims, but that was back in the day. I am married w/3 great kids. I work in a daycare and take care of 1 yr olds. I have 2 grandchildren as well. I am always on BPS everyday.
Why do you want to enter DOTY 2012?
Why not? I entered back in 08 and got halfway. So I thought I would give it a try. Love decorating. Seeing others pics inspire me.
What is your favourite style of decor and why?
I like natural things. My fav would have to be beachy type things. I like to take new shiney things and make them look destressed.

I have been a member since 2006. Everyone here is nice & friendly. You need help someone will help you no doubt. Its a site that you can be yourself and not worry what others will say. Relaxing and inviting!

In real life, I'm a single Mom (again!), a floor supervisor at a grocery store, and a proud beginning student in Penn Foster's Interior Decorator program.
Why do you want to enter DOTY 2012?
Aside from the sheer prestige, I've found round-based contests to be among my favorites, if very stressful. However, this is the first one I've found where the rounds are only a week long. That looks to me like a new challenge, and I'm up for that!
Besides, it's Designer of the YEAR! How cool is that!?
What is your favourite style of decor and why?
I find myself most attracted to a modern-contemporary style. As a result, I've tried very hard to go outside my comfort zone, creating an eclectic mix of decors. My personal decor style is David Bromstad meets Candice Olsen (both HGTV designers): pops of very saturated color in elegant surroundings.
I love BPS because...
Someone earlier mentioned the emoticons; that's certainly appealing! LOL Besides that, though, there's the sheer level of talent here which always pushes me farther and harder than I would usually go. You are my inspiration... and my nemesis.

A bit about me:
My name is Armi, and I'm 27 years old Finn, a single mum and an obsessed simmer. I study IT, and spend most of my free time playing with my kid, or doing stuff on the PC - playing, work, chatting, whatever comes to mind.
Why do I want to enter DOTY 2012?
I actually heard about the contest this morning. I have been lurking here on the earlier DOTY's, but have not taken part. This year missroxor linked me to the DOTY thread, and I decided I might as well join up and test my wings on a designing contest. Will see how it goes ;)
I'm not too keen on filling my game with tons of CC, and I usually work with just the minimum or none at all. It will be interesting to see if I can push my imagination to it's limits to get at least past round 2 ;)
What is my favorite style of decor and why?
This is a tough one, as I never really think about what I do. I'm mostly a builder, not a decorator. But I love everything grungy and worn out.
I love BPS because...
Considering I only joined this morning, I can't really fill this sentence, at least am not able to give a honest reason why I would love this site. But I am looking forward on becoming more active here, and for what I've seen (lurking again) this place seems very friendly and has a nice atmosphere.
Here are a few pictures of stuff I have made in the past. Some are world and lot exterior shots, some are interior stuff from another contest I joined and have been happy with.

My name is Lena I´m turning 40 soon, have played the sims sense sims 1 (my niece bought it from a PC magazine for £1,79 (or $2.84) So...way back! -I am getting old
I work as a production coordinator, I like my job, but I am commuting 2 hours each day so I have long days 5.00-17.00. My freetime is mainly spent with my boyfriend, we do gardening, spending time in the greenhouse, work around his house, tiling or decorating, and then we do the same over at my apartment, I enjoy our projects and working together side by side.
* Why do you want to enter DOTY 2012?
Because it is fun, challenging, and I have loved it the other years. And will do so this year to!
* What is your favourite style of decor and why?
I don´t think I have a favorite style, at least not anymore I think I am a bit influenced by scandinavian design (but that is to expect, I´m swedish ). In real life I like bright colors especially in fabrics...That´s about it!:
