    Please tell our members a bit about yourself and what you do in life apart from Simming.

    Hi, my name is Maggie and I’m a 28 year old from Scotland though I’m currently living in America with my husband and our almost 2 year old son. I used to have a government job back in the UK but since moving here two years ago I’ve been enjoying life as a stay at home mum. In the next couple of years I’d love to go to Uni to re-train as an interior designer. It’s sort of a new passion, I always thought of myself as a builder for sims but now I do more decorating than building. That was sim talk, I know lol but it’s only because of sims I discovered decorating was something I loved to do. Other than simming I like to read and I’m slightly addicted to the internet and chatting with my friends over at #create (the chat room for modthesims.info). I love watching HGTV and True Blood too...I guess I’m definitely an indoors activities sort of person, lol.


    * Why do you want to enter DOTY 2012?

    The prestige. The standards of entries are incredibly high and while I have a snowball's chance in hell of making it through the first eliminations I would be kicking myself if I didn't at least give it a shot, afterall they say to improve you should compete against those better than you! No matter how long I manage to cling on I think it will be a lot of fun, a great challenge and I hope to learn a few new skills along the way.


    * What is your favourite style of decor and why?

    I love mix and match, eclectic styles: shabby chic, Parisian apartment style, Hollywood regency etc. I love mixing old and new, worn and shiny, feminine and masculine. I definitely gravitate more towards classic styles than modern. That said I do love industrial sci-fi when it’s done right but sadly I can’t for the life of me get it right!


    I love BPS because the standard of work produced by BPS creators is astonishingly high! I think somebody else already said it but it really is quite intimidating how good you guys are. Everyone always seems so friendly too though I’ll need to stick around the forums more to benefit from that, heh.

    As I don't like to speak on me this introduction will be short!!..lol...My name is Martine..but as I don't like this name..all my friends call (in real life)me "Capucine"..It's my second and fav name..so feel free to use It..héhé...I just discovered Sims 2 in 2008 and since this time I became addicted to the game!! ....I'm a mom from a 21 years boy...when I'm not at work I spend my time to write..paint and of course built an decorate Sims2 or Sims3

    Why do you want to enter DOTY 2012?


    Doty is one of the most great challenge that I know...and This is the biggest challenge I have ever do!!..usually I rarely enter in a challenge because I'm too shy for that...the level from the forum's contests are so height..I dare very rarely participate!!..but this time I wanted to make the big plunge..lol..and here I am!!!..and so happy to finally do It!!


    What is your favourite style of decor and why?

    Hard question ...I love two style..Modern that's to say minimalist style and in the same time old style...I have a lot of fun to build and decorate in both style..depending my mood

    I love BPS because....


    Why do I love BPS??...just because BPS is what It is!!!..that's to say a great place with a bunch of fabulous peps...It's the first place from the community where I registered..my first sims family...and I never found a place like that here .. nowhere!I also love BPS... Because at BPS people accept the others just for what they are and not as they would like them to be!!!!...
    BPS breathe the friendship, the user-friendly, the assistance, the creativity and talent ..A large family from the world...That's like I Will summarize BPS!!...

    Could I please have my post count bumped up to be able to post pictures?
    It says I only have 8 posts.

    I was sure I had more with participating in last years DOTY and everything (or is it in period of time thing?).

    Thank you lehahia. Unfortunately "game and fun" do not count to post count (just discovered that one ).
    And it always feels so insincere commenting on something just to get post count.
    Took me long enough, I'm such a lurker it would be funny if it weren't sad.

    Please tell our members a bit about yourself and what you do in life apart from Simming.

    I have a degree in Zoology and 3 great kids. I work part-time in the accounts department of a large business. Apart from gaming I love to read and walk my hyperactive Border Collie, Toby. And I live in the beautiful country of Scotland and I couldn't imagine living anywhere else.

    Why do you want to enter DOTY 2012?

    I think I've entered DOTY every year apart from the first one. I've made it to the final round twice but never been good enough to finish in the Top 3. I guess I just like pitting myself against great designers and hoping I can learn a thing or two from them.

    What is your favourite style of decor and why?

    I think it would be comtemporary, it's always changing and updating itself to keep up with the latest designs and fashions.

    I love BPS because...     it has the best designers and the best competitions in the Sims community, I just wish I had more free time to be here.

    Introduction

    Hi everyone

    My name is Adrijana (in community I go by mischief or lillany). I live and work as a computer programer in Zagreb, Croatia. In my free time (if I have any left and I usually don't) I free-climb, read books, watch tv and demand cuddling from my boyfriend. Used to create stuff for sims 2 but since switching to 3 can't work up the courage to start again.

    Why do you want to enter DOTY 2012?

    I participated in DOTY 2011 and it was AWSOME. Loved it. So much fun. I wanna do it again. Simple as that.

    What is your favourite style of decor and why?

    Hmmm.... I personally just adore modern Swedish design. If I ever move into apartment or house of my own that will be the style I'll choose to decorate. But when I decorate in sims I tend to go grungy and shabby. And in last few months I have this obsession with bright colors. I'm trying to control my self with that one.
