    Default Homecrafter help, please!!

Could anyone tell me why this happens when Im trying to make walls? When I select the texture in Homecrafter it appears all squished up (and sometimes greyed out) on the left, and the rest of the template shows up black. It doesnt happen very often, but it seems that no matter what I do I cant use certain textures. I have never proceeded further than this point so I have no idea how it will show up in the game.

Sorry Sharon, I never seen that when I made walls, maybe re-installing Homecrafter will help?

What happens when you exit and than open it up again, is it still like that?

    Thanks Dee.

I have closed and re-opened Homecrafter a number of times and it hasnt helped. Its always the same textures that wont work, no matter when or how many times I re-work them.

I have just checked them and how they look in Homecrafter is exactly how they appear in the game! Its too weird! I will try reinstalling the programme and see if that works

ETA: I downloaded a new Homecrafter and installed it.......still have the same problem on those particular textures!

Not sure if it would help but try deleting the content registry in your sims2 folder.
Could you send me the texture to try, just curious to see if it happens with mine

Thanks Kim, I will PM the textures to you

I removed my DL folder and generated a completely new Sims game, I downloaded Homecrafter from the Sims 2 site and reinstalled it and it is still not working. I now have absolutely no cc installed at all.

Ive been having the same problem! At first it was a plain white texture, and then it happened yesterday to just a normal texture. Ive not had this issue before. Any ideas why????

It's certainly an odd problem, I converted the jpgs you sent to bmps and then placed them in walls folder. This is how they looked in my homecrafter..

I really expected them to look the same as yours Sharon, but with them appearing normal, we can rule out that it's the texture causing the problem.
I googled the problem but although I found a few peeps with this issue, no one had an answer.
    I'll keep looking

Thanks Kim. I have been searching all over for a expaination, but like you have found no solution. Its so frustrating especially when there really is no logical explaination as to why it is the way it is!
