Be warned- a huge story(and pics) ahead!!
This story is highly inspired by the awesome Legend of the Guardians-book series. Basically, I just replaced owls with humans sims.In the books, the main antagonists are racists towards other owls, non-barnowl, but as I'm too lazy to come up with new species, I decided to go with the good old white skin/dark skin thingie.

In a small village called Be'Roh, there lived two brothers- Mahen & Càdis. Mahen was a dreamer- he believed in old legends with all his heart. His most favourite story- well of course it wasn't a story, would Mahen say- was about the Guardians of Ma'long.

The Guardians were powerful and wise warriors, who once fought(so the legend says) the evil lord Phouner, who has terrorised lands and killed hundreds of thousand of people. After their glorious victory, the Guardians went back to their Tree, which is shrouded by ancient mist that keeps it hidden from all but the strong of purpose and the true of heart. Since then, they have never been seen again.

Càdis again, was the exact opposite of Mahen. He didn't believe in stories, he didn't even liked them, he was fascinated by weapons, battles and believed only in things he could see. He hated it how Mahen was spending so much time with their father, talking about the Guardians and dreaming together... Mahen and their father were very much alike indeed.



At older age, Càdis could have been out till midnight and later, he could have disappeared for several days and come back with his clothes soaked in blood and having new scars everywhere, claiming that he was haunting. In reality, he was doing something much more interesting and terrifying than shooting birds and animals.

Several years earlier, he accidentally met in the forest a beautiful, young woman, together with several soldiers. Her name was Tuwoura. It wasn't her beauty that caught the attention of a 14-year old boy, but what she and the soldiers were carrying with therm- swords.

She told everything to Càdis, that they were from a clan called "the Pure Ones", which consisted of the noblest and the best. The difference between the Pure Ones and everyone else, was that the Pure Ones had a light coloured skintone. Tuwoura asked whether Càdis would like to join them, and he gladly accepted.



In order to become a Pure One, one had to complete a task which consisted of three parts. In the first part, one had to fight a non-Pure One. Càdis killed his opponent. The second test was to kill a maid(everyone had maids, even if it was a village) and Càdis chose their neighbours'. In the final task, one had to kill someone close to you- a family member. And so Mahen's fate was sealed.

One evening, Càdis and Mahen were alone at home. Know, that their house is located high in the mountains. When Mahen was standing at the edge of a cliff, dreaming about the Guardians, he suddenly fell down. Down into a deep cleft.

When Mahen woke up, his whole body was in a terrible pain. Suddenly, out of nowhere, two men came into the light and took Mahen with them. They took him to an orphanage. It wasn't a common orphanage. The orphans were hypnotized so that they could work there without any gainsay. They worked in a cave and their main task was to search for strange metal, that made one feel dizzy when in the near...



Mahen though was strong enough to refuse the hypnoses. In the orphanage he met a girl of the same age, Mynia. Mynia was a fan of the Guardians of Ma'long as well, and they told each other all possible stories they knew, which kept them sane. Together they began to plan their escape. They managed to do so only after two years.

During the time Mahen spent in the orphanage, Càdis together with Tuwoura murdered the previous leader of the Pure Ones, and seized the throne. In the battle, he lost half of his face together with one eye and so he wears now a metal mask. Càdis took the name Metal Beak.

He returned back to his old home and murdered his parents



Mahen and Mynia were travelling for a very long time. They decided that they'd find the Tree of the Guardians, as they knew it was real. They have made new friends along their journey, who joined them and so their little group grew.

Their journey was long and hard, but in the end they found the Tree of the Guardians of Ma'long. Mahen and co. were thought how to fight in battles, how to hunt, and they learned the history of the Tree. After several years, Mahen became a Guardian himself- one of the best actually.



He learned and accepted the terrible truth about his brother. He knew that someday he will have to fight Càdis.

In the meanwhile, Metal Beak was forging an army of underworld craetures mixed with other Pure Ones, to attack and destroy the holy Tree...





Got interested in the story- wait, you actually read it?!? Respect to that..! Then read the actual Legend of the Guardians-books! : D There are 12 of them, I believe I told till the 4th... And pretend my English is perfect.



Great contest Sharon, I had my doubts whether I should enter, but then I just couldn't throw away all the hard work I did le lol...

P.S I just now noticed that I have only a half-bodyshot of Mahen.... And bodyshots ain't side by side.... Is it that terrible? I canz not change anything anymore, consider this a JFF entry then, me too tired :''D

oh what a good CAS Contest. Everyone has such great entries! this one started out a lil difficult tho, seeing as all my twins are Boy-girl and not same gendered. I decided to make a couple of Young men, Brothers who have slowly drifted apart and gone thier seperate ways since the death of thier father..... But before i begin to ramble, as i tend to do ^_^ i give you the Lowery Brothers! Dun Dun Duunn!!


Conner Michael And Gunner Ray Lowery



Conner is the the brains of the two. Always thinking things through carefully and trying to come to the logical conclusion.

He is also a very artistic guy. At the moment trying to get his photography business off the ground.

Gunner is the Braun. Always flexing his muscles and working on his BadAss image.

He doesnt seem to accomplish much, except getting into bar fights and visiting the county jail on a regular basis.

But no matter how different they are nothing can overcome brotherly love, ...... weeellll, maybe im reaching a bit there... ;)

Odette & Odile


Odette and Odile Goldstein are identical twins. They grew up extremely close, and they were so alike that even for their parent they were virtually indistinguishable from one another. They also always share that “special” and unique bond that only some twins use to have when they sense and feel each other illnesses, pains, dangers and sorrows. That bond and the love they feel for each other made them grow not only as twin sisters, but also as best friends. But something happened when they were at the University and Odile changed.

Odile changed, not only her image, but her attitudes and her friends. She became tough and cold, the opposite of how she used to be and of Odette. Since then, Odette has been feeling confused with her change and knows that something terrible happened to her sister because she still feels her sorrow. But even when Odile never has changed the way to show her love for Odette, indeed she stopped to disclose her feelings and thoughts with her. And Odette still feels hurt for that.

Odette finished her studies and became a Pre-School teacher. Odile and her always dreamed to open their own Pre-School. But Odile left the University and never finished it. Not one day passes without Odette been wondering what is Odile doing for living.

Her life would be perfect if it weren’t because Odette is always worried for Odile. She is happily married to Brad, her University beau. He was Odile's best friend and in fact, it was her sister who introduced him to her. They already have a baby girl and Odette feels blessed with her family. What she doesn’t know is that her blessing was the cause of Odile's misery. Because Odile was in love with Brad in silence, and the thought that she was betraying her twin sister with her feelings, or that she could be envying her became a heavy burden for her heart.

Unable to cope with her sorrow, Odile followed a path of self-destruction. In order to alienate herself from her feelings, she went insane into a life of partying and drinking. She desperately began to search love in sex. Then, she met Tony and obviously thought she was in love with him because he gave her all his attention and filled her with expensive gifts. And she tried to obviate his dirty businesses.

But the art of pleasing is the art of deception. Before Odile realized it, she became part of his businesses and now she is working as an exotic dancer in private shows for Tony's friends at his Gentlemen Club. She began to do it as a favor to him. However, what began as a favor has become a duty because now she is afraid of him.

So now Odile understands that her feelings for Brad were only an illusion. She knows that she is the only one responsible for going so far, and knows that she has to go out from the mess of life she has created for herself. She also knows how immature and vain she has been and she is the only one to blame for how lonely she is. And she cries as she thinks how much she misses Odette. Because as someone said once, there is only one kind of human, and it is the kind that aches when it feels lonely...

Althought they are identical twins, Toni and Tara couldn't be more different.

Victims of abusive and neglectful parents, they had very difficult childhoods, eventually ending up in a foster home that was supposed to make things much better. They were happy for a while, with the two girls finding solace in being together, but soon their first foster parents turned out to be just as bad as their biological parents. A year after being placed together in their first foster home, the two were split up and raised separately.

This was too much for Toni to bear and she rebelled. She ran away at the age of 15 and made the streets her home.





Every once in a while her thoughts return to happier times with her sister.






Tara was a very sad child when she and Toni were split up, but as she grew older she also made the streets a major part of her life. She threw all of her emotions into making the streets safer, feeding the homeless and is currently in charge of growing a city garden. Her deepest dream is to find her twin again and make her life better.
