This game become a real pain

I think this time I actually reached the point of no return with this game!!!....
The last uptodates don't want to install...oki
The last patch don't want to inst(all it...oki
But now...It seems that I'm unable to install CC via the launcher...grrrrrrrr...
I created some Art wall and wanted to install it...no way!!...the launcher said.." try to uptodate your game and then re try to install your cc again"..... can you beleive It?.... I think this game will make me completely crazy this time..I do not know why I don't swinging ALL through the window ... maybe because it's too cold outside to open!!!...

Yes the sims 3 is a real pain to play often,I took a long time to make-peace with it,these last weeks now I'm satisfied with my ccs and the game runs awesomely, I'm glad to play with it again I created sims I adore lol.
Though I believe you and I agree with game make us crazy.

About the last patch 1.29 if I'm right, I don't advice people to apply it,due to the fear I've got concerning the CCs even though this patch is quite essential.Moreover I don't patch my game anymore since I've installed pets and I won't update it anymore.(I don't install Origin)

I'm verry sorry for you and I wish you good luck for fixing all the pain the game caused.

S3 is a fantastic game, very awesome and entertaining like the sims 2, but more difficult to manage to.

Ooo...take a deep breath and take a break. Do not catch a cold from opening that window...we have all been in your shoes a time or two or three...lol!
It is so frustrating to have this happen time after time. I have discovered that if you try to do something else for a bit and then return to fix the issue...it seems to relax you so you can try to deal with the problem of the game. I have had to start over completely more than once and that was such a heart ache...because all of my creations were gone with all of my collected cc that took years to gather the first time. Oh and some masterpiece homes I downloaded that are lost forever now because the creator is retired as well as their creations.

Chin up sweets...take a break then start again. I wish you all the best with this unpleasant adventure. Just remember that many can help you if needed.

Hey Martine. So sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your game. Just this last month saw me uninstalling my game completely, twice, reinstalling everything, reorganizing, etc. It is a pain, but if you love the game as much as I think you do, its worth waiting for the pain to subside and then start again. My advice...first save everything...your saved games, your download folder, everything. Then wait a few days. More than likely you are not the only one to suffer the slings and arrows of a new patch or update. Solutions will be posted....ways to make your game work, and it will be worth waiting. In the meantime go window shopping. Take some time to go look for new CC. It's a way to pass the time and keep yourself excited about the game. My next and most important piece of advice...never delete your zip and rar files of downloaded CC. I have ever single piece in its original compressed format....that way, should something horrible happen to my game, the worst I have to do is unzip and reinstall. No searching, no tears, no lost lots or CC. Work, yes. But work that is worth it. My last piece of advice... Try CCMagic. It is a great program found at MTS that helps organize your game and make it run faster. You can actually launch your game through CCMagic, so if the launcher won't work for you, perhaps this will. I use it and I love it.

Take care and take heart....you aren't alone...open window and all. Keep it closed and do some CC shopping instead. Will end up costing you a lot less ( a new game and a possible cold!! lol) and will be much more satisfying!

Martine, I share your pain with this damned game.
Before doing important changes ( patching or using CC-Magic), don't forget to make a complete back up of your 'Electronic Arts' folder in 'Documents etc'.

Rename your "El.. Arts' folder before patching: It will be regenerated. Besides I think that you need Origin (updated) in order to install the patches via the launcher - Origin has replaced the EA game manager.

One thing more: Which tool did you use to create your wall art that you can't install?

Feel somewhat funny and ashamed as I am giving you advices while I am fighting with my own game ( still busy rebuilding my downloads and didn't yet installed the newest patch 1.29 !)

What version of TSRW? the .32 and .33 (beta's) have a bug in it. Any object you export from there HAS to have basegame + Pets. If you go back to the .31 you can export from there to have them just basegame. Bug has been reported. being worked on.

Humm didn't know that..I have the TSRW 2_0_28...is this the right one?
