I got in touch with Nika and she has tried fixing it, but wasn't able to. This is her reply
Uhm, it seems you're right. I made a recolor but it doesn't show up. It's strange, since I made a lot of recolors from converted itemsI also tried to make it recolorable following a tutorial on MTS but failed.. it still shows only the original color.
If your friend wants can try to solve the problem. Just remember to credit me if you/she decide/s to share it here or anywhere else, linking the original postI didn't create the mesh in the first place, all rights to Square Enix, BUT I did work hard on my conversions so that's why I always ask not to redistribute the meshes without my permission. With that said, let me know if she solves! I'm curious now
So... if your offer still stands Mamie I would be very grateful if you could see if this is fixable please![]()

Sure I will take a look....
Edit: Kim, first let me say I am not an expert by any stretch and you may want to open a request so that those who are master meshers can take a look at this mesh. Having said that this is what I found:
- Fix Integrity (done)
- Wrong GUID in MMAT (GUID matched)
- Verify subsets Names Match (found some inconsistencies for subsets names, for example: the TXMT name was slightly different (used a dash in name) from the TXTR name (underscore was used in place of dash).

Im going to move this thread to the Creativity Support/Recolouring help section of the forum. I think you may get more response there as a lot of the creators check that forum and help out.
I have made meshes recolourable before, but if its not one of my own, I make a new package that does not overwrite the original. I just find it easier......Im a bit dumb when it comes to messing with GUID's ect, I dont know enough, so Im afraid of causing major game crashes! LOL
Oh! You could perhaps ask Tinks, she is clued up and has sucessfully made objects recolourable before.![]()
Thanks very much for taking a look Mamie, I'm clueless when it comes to meshes
Sharon, sorry, I didn't think of posting it there. I'll ask Tinks
Thanks again ladies, much appreciated x

I took a look at that file, and found a problem and its solution.
In my understanding,
In a mesh having two or more GUIDs, GUID in MMAT should refer to "main" GUID. But in this armoir mesh, its MMAT refers to wrong GUID.
Recolor file clones MMAT from mesh, and consequently recolor's MMAT refers wrong GUID.
I changed "objectGUID" in MMAT of Nika's mesh from 0x00778E42 to 0x00778E3E. Then a recolor of this mesh worked fine in game.![]()

Pocci,
You're a lifesaver! When I looked at the files I noticed that there were 4 GUID files but was not able to determine which was the main GUID, how did you determine that?
