Meghan -why do you have to go into game mode to take the pictures?
I'd just save the game when I am done and then take the pictures in buy or build mode. You can use "allobjectlightson true" if that's what you needed from lifemode....
If you add the "no redlines"-mod from insim and select the design tool to make the grid invisible there shouldn't be a difference between build and life mode.
