Ashley, I think for squares this will be you minium:

Apartment 1:
- max. 69 squares
- for a single sim
- 2 room apartment: one room is the bathroom, the other room will have to include bedroom, kitchen, dining and living areas.

Apartment 2:
- max. 104 squares
- for a couple with one child
- 5 rooms: bedroom + bathroom + kid's room + kitchen + living and dining

Apartment 3:
- max. 169 squares
- inhabitants not determined
- must be spread over 2 floors (Include stairs! You can change them later, if you want, but please already include them in the app round.)
- must include 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a study, a kitchen, a diningroom and a livingroom. You are free to choose if want to merge some areas into one (like a dining and living room).

But other than those guidelines I'm pretty sure its up to you sweetie, I'm looking forward to seeing your entry hun! Mindstrip I hope you get the chance also

Actually, I was wondering how small the apartments could be. I build small houses/apartments since I'm not great at building and I just wanted to make sure first before I made one that was too small for this contest.

So is this apartment like a studio? where the main bedroom is kinda open and viewable from the kitchen and living room? Im asking because you state 2 rooms 1 inwhich is the bathroom?


Any communal areas you want to have, and the exterior, must be decorated in the application round. But remember, no overcluttering! Be careful in choosing and placing your windows and doors, as you will not be allowed to change them later.

Sorry Ashley, I misunderstood, that tells the max but I'm not sure if they can be smaller. I think as long as you have the above three apatments the size of the apartment block can be as small as you like but you'll have to wait for Eva to come on to be sure. Sorry I cannot be of more help :(

Stef yes a commmunal area is just like that so a place where everyone can gather so a pool, game room, gym whatever you would like

I've never done a member contest before and I'm horrible at building, but I'd like to try this out. I love decorating apartments! Do you have a minimum for the amount of squares you'd like us to go by?

There is no minimum, only a maximum, the apartments can be smaller than the designated number of squares. Just make sure you can fit everything in.

Yes, like a studio. The bedroom can not be completely separate from the rest. There can be some walls or half walls, but you can't close it off completely.

Anything you want to have. A lobby, a place with the mailboxes, a laundry room, ... anything. It's really up to you what kind of communal areas your apartment contains.

That depends on the number of floors your building has. You'll have a minimum of 10 pictures because one of the apartments has to be across two floors, but you can also have each apartment on a different floor, so 4 floors, in which case you would have 12 pictures.

Yes, the apartments have to be in one building, little town homes around a courtyard is not allowed.

No, that's fine. Once an apartment is finished, you won't be needing it again for the contest.
