Suggestions?

I can make a start on a new style this evening, they do take quite a long time to do so it would take me a while to have a "few" going but it's something that can be started on.

What about instead of a chatroom, how about a 16+ chatbox? Lea and I had an idea for that, so we could have more mature conversation and allow those of us who are a bit more grown up to talk without the worry of censoring... Just an idea. I would happily volunteer to help moderate it.

I love the idea for monthly creator themes. I do that at GoS sometimes and lately at SimOasis too. It's easier to get inspired to make something when there's a set theme.

Love the monthly theme idea. Also love the new colors - so bright and cheerful! Great job. Sounds like there are some great ideas in the works, can't wait to see.

If you could make some of the tagged and design things geared a bit more for the beginner, it would be nice. I would love to participate more, but my skill level is not as advanced as many of the creators here. It does make it a bit challenging and intimidating for those of us that do not have editing programs and such.

Hi there.

Currently we have three hosts running Tagged and the level depends on the host at the time. This month's is a little more advanced but many of them so far have been scrapbook tags and so just down to having a good eye for composition and finding interesting scrapping blogs (we also have a thread listing various blogs.) Maybe if you could elaborate a little more (privately if you wish) and then I will be happy to look into it.

We also just introduced White Pearl and Black Pearls to many of the contest areas to encourage more people to enter.

We recently had a "chatroom" that wasn't on the forum page like the chatbox is, it did not go over well as many like to see the chatbox on the forum page as it is now. The "chatroom" was a different type of environment than what the chatbox is, more real time, you could see who entered the room, etc. It was not a visible section on the forum page, you had to click a forum button to enter. It had lots of features that many members would have loved if it was given half a chance, but many requested that the chatbox return.

BTW, I'm not knocking suggestions, just pointing out what we've tried and the end result so that everyone will understand that we try to make the forum experience more enjoyable. Please do not take offense for my responses.

Is it possible to have both the chatbox and the chatroom?

The chatbox is nice but the chatroom was better in my opinon. I liked being able to talk with all the members at once and then having private conversations at the same time. I got to know a few members a lot better just using it that one time. I'd like to have it back if possible. It was like aim only better and exclusive for bps.

The chatbox, like I said is nice, but it's hard to get to know someone when you have new people joining all the time and then other people having conversations and then if there was already a conversation to begin with...it's just a jumbled mess. Not sure i'm making sense. Hopefully someone understands what I'm trying to say. haha.

I second or third or whatever having both the chatbox and chatroom thingies, if possible. It gives people alternatives ... if folks meet up here in the chatbox and want to discuss more adult topics or something they don't want to broadcast to the "world" they can go private with that in the chatroom. That might help keep things more appropriate for the younger members in the chatbox, but give the adults an alternative for more adult stuff (assuming you can keep the chat there private) or just a less chaotic place to chat if that's what they're looking for (as Kayla suggested above). It also keeps the chatbox we all love front and center for folks to pop in and out of (as many do) and for the lurkers who enjoy reading and getting to know folks here better before they possibly jump in with their 2 cents. One request though, if this turns out to be is a viable option - if you can have more than one font size in the chatroom (or a bigger font if just one), that would help older eyes.

All in all, the new ideas are exciting and this new color scheme is drop dead gorgeous! Thanks Nat and all the other staff who do so much to make this our home away from home!

First of all, I love the new theme! Thanks for that.

I really like Matt's idea of doing another DOTY-like contest. Maybe another contest that big but having it between DOTY and having it as an annual contest. Like in April there would be DOTY and then 6 months later in October there would be the other big contest. It would have sort of the same format as DOTY, getting your entries judged and having people eliminated and such. I think it would keep people more interested. I hope you can understand what I'm trying to say.

I also like the idea of having the chatbox and the chatroom. I never really got a look at the chatroom, the day you brought it out I was to busy to pop in and then my internet usage reached 100% and I coudn't go on for a few days and when I came back it was gone.
