Can you tell us a little about yourself?
I am a 35 year old administrative assistant in the legal department at an international corporation that makes household items. Given my fairly uncreative day-job, the use of the Sims 2 has been my creative outlet, although I really should be working on a novel instead. Shhhhh. In addition, I have been married for what will be 5 years this summer, and we live in CT with our four pet rabbits and a cat, and a house that is need of a bunch of repairs, so I'm avoiding that whole mess by making pretty things on my computer instead.

How long have you been a member here and what is your main reason for entering DOTY?
I've been a member since March of 2009, but I was a bit of lurker prior to joining in on the fun. I really became active on the site when I was unemployed and needed a stress release while searching for a new gig. However, it's the continued fun of entering BPS contests that has me entering contests here still, and the main reason for me entering this one again--I learned so much last year by viewing the many talented designers, but I also learned to stretch my imagination and overcome some challenges to my normal way of decorating while having a great time doing it. I'm truly looking forward to experiencing that again with this year's contest.

Do you think you have what it takes to compete and get to the final?
Heh--I'll be thrilled if I make it to the 3rd round, let alone the final one. But I do think I have good ideas and try to keep all of my decorating realistic in the sense that it's something that I'd want to do in someone's real home, but still keep some sense of my own style as well.

• Can you tell us a little about yourself?

I'm a college student with a bunch of hobbies including sims of course!
I love to build and decorate and have found that it really is something I
would be interested in doing professionally which is my current goal.

• How long have you been a member here and what is your main reason for entering DOTY?

I've been a member pretty much since the end of 2007 beginning of 2008.
I'm entering because I really enjoyed last year's DOTY and I think that this
contest really pushes people to try new things and do their best. I'm super
happy that I could be apart of this contest again this year.

• Do you think you have what it takes to compete and get to the final?

lol, I suppose not. I think that's one of those things that you never know until
you get there. The competition is going to be super stiff so maybe, maybe not.

•Can you tell us a little about yourself?
Hi, My name is Lena, I am 37 years old. I live in Sweden in a small town, work in a DIY shop, selling everything from lumber/paint/tiles to furniture/lamps. LOVE IT! Love dogs, walks and work in my garden, been buildig a greenhouse the other week! Like to cook and bake. Been playing the sims sense sims 1.

•How long have you been a member here and what is your main reason for entering DOTY?
Been a member sense 04-19-2007, main reason why entering cause I think it is fun, and it is great way to learn to know the other members of the forum. And I´m gona compete with the sims 3, thats also a reason why I enter, cause I really want to learn to use that game for decorating, will miss all that clutter from sims 2.

•Do you think you have what it takes to compete and get to the final?
In -08 I come on third place, so maybe. But I know this year gona be much more of challenge, cause I think its gona be more people compeating and there is alot of talented people out there. But winning is not important to me, it's the journey of challenges and creativity that I look forward to.

All about me
I joined BPS in Jan 2008, but I was a member before that under a different user name, sadly I couldn't remember the password for that name and as I was only a browser then I just created a new user name and a password I wouldn't forget. I live in the South East of England, I have three grown up children and two grandchildren, I work in a large secondary school (ages 11 - 19 fo non UK people). I am a higher Level Teaching Assistant teaching English to students with learning difficulties and I am also the assistant Sepcial Educational Needs Co-ordinator. I love Sims and have been playing since it had no number behind it. I love architecture especially English Victorian, I love building in the Sims and recreating houses I've visited.
Why?
I am addicted to contests, I love them but I'm not really that good as I never win. I like to think it's just lots of practise. I can't help entering DOTY even if I don't feel that confident but I hope to last out as long as possible but there is such strong competition for this. I hope to do my best and at least last until round 4, it would be a personal best as it was round 3 last year LOL. Maybe I've got enough experience behind me this year to shine.

Love seeing all the Sims 3 entries!!! Maybe they'll push me to try building/decorating in Sims 3--so far I've only actually played that game as it was meant to be played and changed the color on a few pieces of furniture.

Yay, love to see new TS3 apps. They seem to be so "small" in comparison with TS2 apps.

I installed TS3 long time ago, but i dont like this version >.<

Great to see some more Sims 3 applications! Have added you all to the applicant list. Pikkon, doesn't matter too much as you're just for fun, but you've added an extra level of walls, there is no "3rd floor". x
