Care to share the IP address? Is this the same one used in the other attacks? If anyone wants this to stop then sharing that kind of information openly is good. It may help others not to end up compromised too.
It sounds like a personal thing going on here if individual members are deleted rather than the whole forum simply being wiped out.
The members were deleted and then the whole forum was wiped out.
It's a proxy IP address, 74.55.11.66
I haven't seen that one used in sim site attacks before but that doesn't mean much. Maybe some else will recognise it. Thankyou for sharing the information.

This is basically what it looks like..........My restore point is 2/19/10
After they deleted everything, then they deleted the forum. It said that my URL didn't exist.
I don't think it's Forum Motion related because my actual site wasn't hacked. It was my Media Fire and Photo Bucket accounts that were hacked - therefore basically my site useless as I lost hundreds and hundreds of downloads. Both my Media Fire and Photo Bucket had the same password pretty much - but my Forum Motion was completely different. My Forum Motion account was never touched - though Sugah did ban that IP user at my site.
I don't know why we 3 were targeted - but I basically think it's some Jerk going down a list. Not so long ago, Sims Crossing was also victimized I believe through Photo Bucket.
The interesting AND sick thing is - that the person changes ALL of the Photo Bucket account pictures to DISGUSTING pictures. They were the same ones at Sugahs and ones I'd seen here when someone had their Photo Bucket account attacked.
I basically believe it's the same person/persons.
Like with terrorism, I think if we close shop - they've won. I refuse to give up. It's a long, hard process - but I'm re-building Basic. Sugah has made excellent progress re-building Sugah's Place too. I'm very thankful that Ed's recuperation was just a matter of restoring the site and that his Photo Bucket and Media Fire weren't attacked.

I agree, Hunter. Same pictures, same person or group of people. What Natalie (Buggybooz) said is right. All the hacked sites need to share and compare info to see what common denominators fall out. Its the only way to get to the bottom of it all.Originally Posted by basicforsims
I'm so sorry to hear this happened to you Edward. The IP you shared seems to be a proxy & not the real IP of the person who hacked you. Report the IP to The Planets abuse department along with the time it happened & any other info you can give them. Hopefully they can give you the real IP of the user who was using their service. Then you can compare it with the IP's of other hackings that have happened in the community.

What they did to your forum is exactly what they did to GSC. Deleted all members, locked out the Admin & Mods, then proceeded to delete the forum section by section.
When they hacked GSC & SV i reported the IP i had to the service that was used to hide behind & got quite far with them. I eventually got the real IP of the person responsible & now know who it was that did the hacking, but with out screenshot proof of this person using said IP i cannot post it all out in the open.
