Thread: Converting a .package to .Sims3Pack

I converted one of my object from package to sims3pack format. When I first exported it to sims3pack, its textures were not correctly packaged (not shown in game). So I re-imported all texture files (overlay, mask, multiplier, specular and stencils) and re-exported. Then the object was shown fine and recolorable in game.

OK, I have tried again, but whatever I convert it comes out without textures.

Texture files can be extracted from package file using s3pe. How to import texture files on TSRWorkshop can be found in its tutorial.
If you are not familiar neither s3pe nor TSRWS, I don't recommend this way. I think it's better to ask original creators to convert file format.

LILI, may I ask why you need to convert the file format of objects to sim3pack?

I have been trying for 14 days now, and my game just wont recognize .package files any more... no matter what I do. I reinstalled so many times and tried everything I have found on the forums, and nothing helps. And if I finaly get them to work, my patterns in Sims3Pack file wont show up in the game. I patched the game fully, than just till 1.7.9 and installed WA, and so on... nothing works.

    Now that's different Pierre.
You're trying to import an adult mesh onto a teenagers body, which won't work. This tutorial is only for converting the file format, If you want to do actual age/gender conversions, I recommend checking out tutorials at ModTheSims.
