For the Edit In CAS I think it came with Generations Because after i installed Gen. I right clicked my sim (cheat on) and i found Edit In CAS Mind me if you found this out because this is a VERY VERY old post heh.. xD

Wow, so many great tips in this thread!! But there's one particular cheat I seek and cannot seem to find.. I know you can move items freely by holding the alt-key, but does snapobjectstogrid false work aswell?? Or something similar? Some objects, like pictures, curtains, and chairs around the table, snap automatically, and that can be reaaally annoying

Edit In CAS came with the patch before Generations. I don't have Generations but patched when Gen came out and I got it then. I still don't have Generations.. but hopefully will get it by Christmas

@mustivah - in my game, I can't hold the ALT key down unless I have disableSnappingObjectsOnAlt on cheat enabled. (I know, most people don't have to have that on in order for the snapobjecttogrid false to work but that's the way it is in my game.) Then it works on and off grid while holding the ALT key. You can use it on almost all objects except wall hangings - paintings and curtains. Chairs around tables will always snap automatically but if you hold the alt key down and move your mouse to turn it around you can usually get it to the angle you want without it snapping to the table. It might take a couple of tries to get it but it can be done.

Also, my "Hand of God" didn't work until this patch. I could never drag old newspapers and rubbish and dirty clothes to bins and hampers before I got the Pets patch.

The testingcheatsenabled true/false (with or without caps - I've never typed it in with caps) works well in my game at the Main Menu or at the lot and stays on if I switch games. It's always worked for me since launch day.

Hum..strange thing...when I clic on one object and press the ALT buttom from my keybord in the same time..objects are duplicate..lol...I never noticed this before..

SnapObjectsToGrid is a Sims 2 command. For the same result in Sims 3, type DisableSnappingObjectsOnAlt on (no need for the upper case letters, I just typed it that way because it's easier to understand what the commad does that way). Once you use that command, when you hold down the alt key, object snapping is disabled.

For the same result in Sims 3, type DisableSnappingObjectsOnAlt on (no need for the upper case letters, I just typed it that way because it's easier to understand what the commad does that way). Ok seems that I'm really a dummy!!... I tryed to type exactly what you said...and it doen't work for me...tsssssssssss!!!... do I have to type something else before that when I open the cheat box ....or???
