1. Add driveway and extension

2. Add walls around the extension and a garage door.
3. Add walls for your house, leaving a x2 strip between the garage and house. (as shown below)
4. Add walls to the second level so that the walls are in exactly the same place on the second floor as they are on the first.

5. Page down to the lower level and turn on the cheat (ctrl, shift+C).
Boolprop constrainfloorelevation false
Fill the house with foundation (as shown below), do NOT fill the 2x strip separating the house and garage.

6. Page up and you will notice that your second level walls have been distorted, we will fix them now.
Using your terrain levelling tool, drag across the second level walls from the lowest point, diagonally to the highest point.
We want to lower the walls, not higher them.

7. Once you have done this and flattened the second level walls you will be left with “small” walls (the height of a foundation) all away around the top of your first level walls (look at the wall height above the garage on the picture below). These “small” walls are just for adding height to the walls after adding the foundation.
Turn off the cheat now i.e. boolprop constrainfloorelevation true
We can now add our second floor again to be used as rooms ( second floor can also be placed over the garage if you wish)

8. We can now add our roof. Use auto roof or place your own.
You can alter the roof pitch by typing “roofslopeangle” in your cheat box.
Add a number between 15-75 after it to alter the slope, 15 being the lowest and 75 the highest. E.g. “roofslopeangle 35” (35 is the slope angle I have used in these tutorial pictures)

9. Add doors, windows and maybe a porch foundation. Make sure you do not place doors or windows on the walls of the 2x strip separating the house and garage as they will distort.

10. Add wallcoverings to the outside of your house. Make sure there is no pattern on the covering you choose (such as brick or lines) as they will distort where the split level has changed the wall height.
Add railings, stairs and flooring to your porch and you’re done!
Easy in 10 simple steps!!
