Rosanne - I saw where you guys got hit quite hard with tons of snow, but 8 inches?! My goodness! Oh how I would love to see that right about now. We mainly received most of the sleet that came through here. It was crazy! By Monday morning everything looked like glass outside and surprisingly the electricity stayed on. I was so afraid it would go out like it did everywhere around us. We have lots of trees that split down the middle or have toppled over because of all the ice. Looks as though we will have lots of firewood for the next couple of years, considering one of those trees is a huge old oak tree. It was so beautiful!! It really is a shame that it split. The temps have been quite cold here as well, really unusual temps we don't get here very often.
Congrats to your daughter and her new hubby! Glad things went well and now you can relax. How is work going for you? Hope they aren't working you too hard!!

Well, being as I've been rather quiet lately about my personal life on here I guess it's time to fill you guys in. As some of you may know, I have been hurting each month with my menstrual cycles. They have gotten much worse! I won't go into too much detail as some of you may not want to read the really gross parts of what is happening to me, so I will keep it clean. Went to the doctor today, he done a pap and sat with me for about an hour to discuss my options after telling him everything I've been experiencing. I have to go next week for a pre-op as I have to have a DNC on the 24th. I am showing signs of Endometriosis, but he wants to go in with scopes to make sure that is what I have. If so, a hysterectomy will be the next and only other option. I'm ready for this hurting to stop and I know if I put it off any longer it may turn into something much worse. I'm really trying to psychologically get myself prepared in case I have to have a hysterectomy. Like I told my husband, when I hear that word it makes me cringe. It's like when a man goes for a vasectomy, they look at it as part of their manhood is being taken away. I look at it as the same way for a woman!! So that was another thing my doctor and I discussed as well, so I can psychologically prepare myself if the inevitable happens.......
AAAAAAAAAhhhhhhhhh, now that I got it all off my chest I feel a little better! Well beside the fact I have to get two teeth pulled on Friday..something else I'm not looking forward too! This 2011 year has started off pretty rocky, but I'm hoping after all this chaos is over I will feel much better. Prayers being said and I have all my limbs crossed! LOL!!
Well ladies I must get off here for now. I've missed all of you and hope everyone is doing well...
Mucho love and huge hugs!

Oh Krys, I am so sorry that 2011 has started out this way for you. The endometriosis is a real problem, but just think about getting it taken care of before you become too old for an anesthesia risk. Yes, you feel like a part of your womanhood is being taken away, and I did feel that way when I went through menopause. But the relief that comes with it outweighs any of those feelings.
Just had a crown put on a tooth, and going for a filling soon. So, I can sympathize about the dental work. No fun, but once again, oh what a relief when it is over.
Best wishes,
Gail

Gail, thanks so much for sticking around my thread it's nice chatting with you on here. The two teeth they pulled this morning were being stubborn and didn't want to come out..LOL! But they managed to pull them without breaking either one, thank goodness. My son got a kick out of the way I was trying to speak to him after-wards, so he would deliberately talk or ask questions just so he could laugh at me...LOL! I didn't mind, I thought it was quite funny myself. The one thing I have not done since 8:30 this morning is smoke a cigarette! I'm so afraid of getting dry socket! Never had it and don't want it! Heard it was extremely painful and I've had about enough of "pain" in general, so I don't want to add to it.
As for starting off the year pretty rocky, I know once I get all of this mess out of the way I will feel so much better. That is what I'm looking forward too the most!At least to have my body feel somewhat normal again for the time being.
Good luck with your filling and crown Gail, I too have to go back in order for them to do a root canal and crown..Ewww! Drills are not my favorite...

Oh Krys -- what a way to begin the new year! I have had extensive dental work before and it is no fun :(
I've also had a hysterectomy for endometriosis -- I know it is scary, but I felt much better afterward -- I will pray things go well for you. Anyway, I hope you know that there is light at the end of the tunnel. I was scared to have the surgery but I felt so great afterward, I wondered why I didn't do it sooner.
We still have a lot of snow on the ground and it is supposed to get really cold by the middle of the week - yuck! We are also supposed to get more snow, as well.
I am soooo ready for Spring!
Sorry I haven't been posting much the last few weeks. Things have been so busy with wedding preparations, etc, but now that it's over, I can breathe a little easier.
I hope and pray that everyone is doing okay and I will sign off with a few wedding pictures!
Much love and hugs,
Rosanne

Thought it was time I showed my face here againjust found a load of new smilies loads of cute animals.
Rosanne I really feel for you with all that snow, I've seen toooooooooo much of it this winter, I'm beginning to hate that white stuff, like you I can't wait for Spring to arrive. We havent had snow for a couple of weeks now, it went quite mild for a couple of days, but its gone really cold again, the cars are all frozen up each morning, I really hope the snow stays away.
The wedding photos are gorgeous, your daughter looks beautiful, I'm so glad that everything went well for you on the day. I'm sure it must be a huge relief in some ways, that it's all over. It takes so long to prepare for and then its all over so quickly, I presume there must be a bit of an anticlimax the day after. Best wishes to your daughter and new husband, for a long and very happy life together.
Krys what a shame that the weather has caused a lot of the trees to split, it so sad, when that happens. Try not to worry if you have to have a hysterectomy, as you know I had one last year, as far as I'm concerned it was one of the best things that happened to me last year, I wish I could have had it done years earlier. I know that I'm a lot older than you, but it worked out really good for me and I feel great now. I go to the dentist twice a year for a check-up, but last time he told me he doesn't want to see me for 12 months, my teeth are doing really good at the moment. :bunny1
Gail it's good to see you here, hope the dental work went well for you. I never seem to be able to catch you in the chatbox lately, but I'll keep looking for you.
Elsbeth has booked her "Hen Weekend". We are off to Portugal on the 29th of April, (the day of the royal wedding) and come home on the 2nd of May. There are 14 of us, as Els says 7 oldies and 7 young ones, cheeky pup that she is. Hopefully the sun will be shining and I plan to see a lot of it, out at night, sleep it off by the pool in the sunshine. Really looking forward to it. Els just left for work, as she opened the door a freezing cold entered the house, oh I really hate winter, roll on Summer. :birdy1
